About Chachalacas

Chachalacas Beach is one of the beaches that can be made a boast out of the most in Veracruz State and all the Mexican Gulf. Additionally, the onsite museum completes the visit to this imposing trace of past, a place where Hernan Cortes fought back in the Spanish Conquest times.

Within the municipality, including Chachalacas Beach, cultural traditions worthy witnessing can be experienced. The typical dance of the entire Veracruz is “La Bamba”, in addition to the costumes of tropical music, the “son and danzon”; in the month of May, the Caña Fair of Ursulo Galvan is held, and during November there are festivities in honor to San Carlos; as for the craft works, the visitor may take a beautiful souvenir made off clay, stone and wood; about gastronomy, the visitor is invited to try the local taste of seafood and typical dishes that belong from this part of the region of the Veracruz coast.
